When the Walls family decides to move to Welch they go to live with Grandma Walls and Jeannete was very exited but when they finally arrived her expectations dropped. Erma was nothing like her other grandma. Erma was grose and everyone in the family was afraid of her. The first day of school Erma made the kids sandwiches for lunch and all that was on the sandwhich was a smeer of lard.

I think that this is a big part of the book in terms of the relationships between the parents and the kids. I think that when they are living with Erma the kids all become closer and they really learn to stick together. Good Job :)
