I remember when the Walls family decides to go on a trip to the Grand Canyon but there car broke down on the way there and they had to hitch hike back home. Woman picked them up and gave them food and drinks but then the woman offended Jeannete by saying they were poor.
I remember this too! You should expand on how the woman made jeannette upset. If someone had called me poor i would be pretty insulted.
ReplyDeleteYou should maybe consider thinking about again how this affects the family. When they are always abandoning things that mean something to them they might develop trust issues and start thinking that maybe their family is going to leave them too. This small detail in the book could actually affect the characters in a big way. :)
